Three days in March
Women, dancing, laughing, resisting
In solidarity with the struggles headed by women all around the world, El Born CCM programmes three events that speak of women’s resistance and how it interacts with the zest for life provided by humour and music.
The title “Women, dancing, laughing, resisting” aims to resonate the spirit of resistance but also the sense of joy implicit in the words of Emma Goldman: “If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution”.
Theatre: Les Bertranettes
A journey through the musical career of Aurora Bertrana, based on her memoirs and the sound of a jazz trio like the one she had, Europe’s first female jazz band.
A literary and musical performance portraying Aurora Bertrana as cellist and jazzwoman.

Asaari Bibang was born in Equatorial Guinea and arrived in Spain at the age of 6. On stage, she converts her own life experiences into pure comedy and invites us to laugh while she fights her verbal battles against racist clichés and stereotypes.

Dialogue: Women and co-resistance in the Palestine-Israel conflict
