With the exceptional setting of the old Born market and the 1700s archaeological site as a backdrop, dynamic and enriching activities are proposed featuring the expressive arts, the experience of the senses, discovery, research and various disciplines such as history and archaeology.

COMIC. El Born in cartoons
From 1 to 5 July

Throughout history, humankind has told the story of experiences, dreams and adventures through pictures and words. From the moving images in cave paintings to the comics of Tintin and the heroes and heroines of Marvel. In this camp, you will explore the techniques, means of expression and values of comics as an art form that allows you to let your imagination run wild and turn cartoons into images full of history.

AUDIOVISUAL. DOCS Born
From 8 to 12 July

We invite you to explore the pulse of the neighbourhood, from shops to cultural spaces, from local experiences to the views of outsiders. We will compare what we experience today with what archaeology and history tell us about life in this neighbourhood three hundred years ago, in 1700. Finally, through language and the documentary genre, we will create an audiovisual portrait of our experience.

PHOTOGRAPHY. Snapshots of the neighbourhood
From 15 to 19 July

We have been commissioned to design a major exhibition that tells the story of the Born through photography. Here you will become curators, research the Barcelona of the past and present and design your own exhibition, where you will show the snapshots you will have created.

GASTRONOMY. Cuisines of the world
From 22 to 26 July

One dish on a table is full of history and ingredients from all over the world. Throughout the ages, dozens of foods, recipes and fashions have come together to bring colour, aroma and flavour to every era. In this gastronomy camp, we invite you to travel the world, the ages and the senses. You’ll see the evolution of food, learn about the arrival of exotic products such as chocolate in Barcelona, discover the history of the Born market and see first-hand the diverse cuisines of the Ribera district. Take a journey through the centuries, exploring what we can cook and tasting our history!
