Memories of the Earth
We live in a present full of emergencies: climatic, socio-political and, in the end, vital. These are emergencies that predetermine a future that we see as being more uncertain than ever, perhaps because the certainty that foreshadows it terrifies us and can bring us to an end.
Using the four elements – earth, air, fire and water – as guiding threads, we present a series of shows, excursions, roundtable discussions, workshops and debates that show what is being done in the worlds of activism, science and culture to face these challenges. We are invited to reflect on what we have done with the memory of inhabiting the earth and to act in order to become living compost rather than dead waste.
